Senior Youth Worker / Branch Coordinator
- Salary: £24,730 – £26,194 (dependent on qualifications and experience).
- Full Time: Permanent Contract

Blend Youth Project represents the youth provision of the charity Valley CiDS. Working across five delivery sites, we provide a range of youth work activities and support services for young people in their local communities together with alternative education & training opportunities for young people who are disengaged from learning or struggling to access mainstream education.
The role of the ‘Senior Youth Worker / Branch Coordinator’ offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced worker to take a lead role in managing and developing provision at our youth branch in Heanor, Derbyshire, so that it effectively engages with disadvantaged & marginalised young people, leaving a lasting impact on their lives and future prospects.
We are looking for an outstanding candidate with a proven track record of delivering high quality provision. You will be an effective leader and manager and will be able to develop positive working relationships with staff, young people, parents, partner agencies and the local community. You will be a highly enthusiastic, innovative and motivated individual who will be an advocate for the learning and development needs of all young people attending our provision.

Job Title: Business and Fundraising Manager
Scale: £28,000 pro-rata

To develop and lead Headway’s business development strategy, maximising opportunities to generate income, enabling the charity to continue to provide services for adults with acquired brain injuries in Derby, Derbyshire and East Staffs.
To identify opportunities for funding and submit applications based on the Business Development Strategy
To oversee the development of a trading arm to the charity, creating and developing new, diverse sources of sustainable income.
To take responsibility for managing discrete projects and activities from inception, through fundraising, recruitment and initiation to handover to appropriate staff teams.
To attend occasional evening or weekend meetings and be available for occasional consultation outside usual working hours on a voluntary basis.
Direct line management of Service Co-ordinator.

Making Space – Dementia Advisor/Volunteer Coordinator, Immediate Start
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Dementia Advisor/Volunteer Coordinator to join Making Space, a not-for-profit care provider to cover the Derbyshire area. In return we offer a competitive salary of £9.18 per hour.

With responsibility for recruitment, placement and supervision of volunteers who support people living with dementia and their carers in a group setting, you will promote the provision for carers and service users in line with current national objectives. You may also be required to cover leave for fellow Dementia Advisors where necessary.
Experience of working with people who experience mental ill health and / or carers is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or the willingness to work towards. The successful post holder will also demonstrate the ‘Six Cs’ – care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment.
Working hours are 35 per week.
Having your own mode of transport is essential.
The successful candidate must have experience of working with Dementia or is willing to learn.
