Assistant Project Officer – Derbyshire County Council

The Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site is the only World Heritage Site in the East Midlands. This 15 mile stretch of the Derwent Valley, from Matlock Bath through to Derby, is the birthplace of the ‘modern’ factory system and the communities and infrastructure that were developed to support it. These technological interventions sit in the still recognisable and beautiful 18th century landscape into which they were inserted.

The Heritage Lottery Fund, Arts Council England and Historic England have awarded the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site Partnership a £1.5m Great Place scheme – Vital Valley. This post represents an exciting opportunity to play an integral part in the successful delivery of this 3 year scheme. Vital Valley’s vision is to inspire and enable people to have a sense of pride in and belong to the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site and to do this by celebrating of the Valley’s heritage and through arts.

Fundraising Manager (full time) – Derbyshire Wildlife Trust

Salary: £28,000- £32,000 pa

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, inventive and creative fundraiser to join our Business Development Team and drive forward exciting projects, plans and initiatives.

You will have a proven track record of fundraising from a wide variety of sources and securing £1 million plus bids, contracts and tenders.

A knowledge of corporate, individual and legacy giving and the motivation for giving is a must.

Making Space – Dementia Advisor/Volunteer Coordinator, Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Dementia Advisor/Volunteer Coordinator to join Making Space, a not-for-profit care provider to cover the Derbyshire area. In return we offer a competitive salary of £9.18 per hour.

Making Space provide services in the heart of local communities, and specialist care and support services. Our professional, caring employees and volunteers deliver our services with dignity, respect and compassion, focusing on outcomes that help the people we support has the freedom to enjoy an everyday life.

With responsibility for recruitment, placement and supervision of volunteers who support people living with dementia and their carers in a group setting, you will promote the provision for carers and service users in line with current national objectives. You may also be required to cover leave for fellow Dementia Advisors where necessary.

Experience of working with people who experience mental ill health and / or carers is essential, along with excellent communication skills and a Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or the willingness to work towards. The successful post holder will also demonstrate the ‘Six Cs’ – care, compassion, competence, communication, courage and commitment.

Working hours are 35 per week.

Having your own mode of transport is essential.

The successful candidate must have experience of working with Dementia or is willing to learn.

We have an opportunity for an Advice Session Supervisor to join our existing team which provides an excellent generalist advice service for clients.

Post: Advice Session Supervisor

Hours: 37 pw

Salary:  £24,426 pa

Contract: Permanent

Based at: Matlock

This 37 hour post is to provide supervision for face to face and telephone advice sessions in both our Matlock and Belper offices.

To be successful in this role, you will need in-depth knowledge and experience of advice, possess excellent client care skills and the ability to provide feedback to others verbally and in writing. Experience in the current benefits system and an up to date knowledge and understanding of welfare reform is essential.

You will need to manage the practicalities of the advice session and ensure adequate staffing and resources in addition to monitoring the case records, face to face interviews and telephone calls of designated staff to ensure quality standards are met.

DERBYSHIRE ALCOHOL ADVICE SERVICE

Our dedicated STAND TO Veteran alcohol project is looking to appoint:
A Single Point of Contact HUB and Administration Worker.

This is a 3 year fixed term contract

The post is based in Chesterfield and the hours of work will be Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm worked on a rota with one late evening per week.

Salary: £17,161 per annum for 37 hours per week. 25 days leave and 6 % pension contribution.
