For groups/services that would like to become members of IsLAND, or for members whose Quality Standard has lapsed/is due to lapse. The purpose of the IsLAND Quality Mark is to enable projects/services that tackle loneliness and isolation to show that they are managed effectively, have policies and practices in place which ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff, service users and volunteers, and continuously reflect on and improve the way that they operate. The next assessment date will be in April, so we are offering a session with Julia Marshall, Training and Quality Assurance Officer at SDCVS, who developed the Standard and is also one of the assessors, on: Tues 11 Feb 10am–1pm at Amber Valley CVS. There will be a workshop on compiling your portfolio and then for those who want to stay, a chance to put your portfolio together with assistance. The last time we ran a similar session, the quality of portfolios produced and the pass rate rose, so this is a great opportunity if you are interested in working towards our FREE Quality Mark. To book a place please contact Annette on 01283 219761 / befriending@sdcvs.org.uk.
