Amber Valley CVS – extending deadline for recruitment to the Community Development Team ; Volunteer Developments Worker This post requires you to work with voluntary organisations to gather information about new and existing volunteering opportunities and to promote opportunities via a variety of media. You will effectively market for volunteers and be responsible for match and recruitment of volunteers to local opportunities ensuring equal opportunities to all. You will maintain databases and filing systems for volunteer opportunities and for volunteer enquiries. You will communicate by various means volunteer involving groups and organisation of all sizes to identify support needs and encourage peer support and networking. You will engage directly with communities, listening to their needs and channelling this into community action to improve health, increase connectivity. You will lead on events planning to bring together community members with local services. You will need to be well organised, have good administrative and computer skills and be able to maintain records and statistics to monitor the project. You will also need to have empathy and good communication skills with people of all backgrounds, including those offering time as volunteer and staff  in all voluntary and statutory agencies. Experience of networking with partners to promote and support project delivery is essential. Experience of supporting and developing volunteers is necessary with evidence of recent experience in organising community events. Ability to develop liaise and work with other agencies to meet needs of volunteer involving organisations is essential. Knowledge of governance of volunteer led groups, experience of writing funding bids and outlining project budgets is required to meet the needs of groups. The ability to identify gaps in voluntary activity to meet the needs of health & social care providers and to work in communities to fill this need is essential. You will maintain databases and filing systems as a register of community groups and to confirm their level of development. You will communicate by various means with community organisations of all sizes to identify support needs and bring together local organisations for peer support and networking. You will lead on arrangements to engage communities in local networks and with local partnerships. You will seek information about funding sources and communicate this to local organisations, including Amber Valley CVS. You will provide advice to groups on writing quality bids, with particular emphasis on local funders such as public health, PCC, however a creative approach which encourages sustainability will be looked for at interview. You will need to have knowledge and experience of how a voluntary organisation develops and the support needs linked with that. You will need to be able to multi task, be well organised, have good administrative and computer skills and be able to maintain records and statistics to monitor the project. Children & Young Peoples Art Therapist Are you looking for an inspiring opportunity to take your career to the next level? Could you help shape the lives of some of the most vulnerable young people and children in Derbyshire.
