This role will involve working with young carers and their families within the High Peak area, with some travel to other areas as required. - Grade: Scale Point 17 – 19 (Depending on Experience)
- Salary: £29,345 to £30,373 Pro Rata
- Hours: 22.5 – 30 hours per week (to be agreed)
- Term: 12 months initially with scope for extension subject to funding
- Location: Office based (Matlock) with scope for some remote working and travel

- The role requires a Police Vetting – Level 2 and an enhanced DBS check

- Starting salary £21,840 rising to £25,000 at the end of Year 2 in role

- Intensive mentoring support for children and young people referred to the project to include family support to address conflict within the home and to encourage positive/supportive familial relationships.

- To develop, co-ordinate, fund, manage and implement high quality and timely projects involving energy efficiency, fuel poverty, renewable energy and other carbon reduction measures.
- To work with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop, manage and deliver marketing and engagement activities to support these projects.
- To develop partnerships with the private, public and third sector through your projects, both to ensure successful delivery. In addition, you will look to develop new opportunities.
- To work with the Data and Reporting & Finance Managers to produce reports, statistics, budgets, and analysis about the projects as required.
- Carrying out technical surveys on hard-to-treat properties.
- Liaising with householders and contractors.
- Helping householders to access grants.
- Provide energy advice to a range of customers including those who are low-income and / or vulnerable to the cold, specialising in more technical aspects such as heating and controls, insulation and renewables.
- Providing advice at events, over the phone and in the home.
- Good, up to date knowledge of local networks and referral partners.
- Understand and work to meet funder requirements, for example, targets or record keeping ensuring claims are maximised.
