Amber Valley CVS -Volunteer Development Worker

This post requires you to be in contact with community groups to gain information about their need for volunteer roles or offer support with volunteer recruitment and training. You will work with the funding and development worker to develop groups , including through facilitating network events. You will showcase local organisations , connecting them to communities.

Good IT skills, experience of marketing including use of website and social media is required.

A creative approach which encourages sustainability will be looked for at interview.

You will need IT skills to maintain databases and electronic filing systems as a record of your work.

Experience of networking with partners and other agencies is essential..

No specific qualifications necessary but evidence of community involvement required. You will need to have empathy and good communication skills with people of all backgrounds, including those offering time as volunteer and staff in all voluntary and statutory agencies.

Connect Erewash Development Worker  

Erewash Voluntary Action are actively recruiting for an exciting new role that will support our work across Erewash.  Our Connect Erewash work is to reduce loneliness and isolation.

We are looking for someone to join our team as a Connect Erewash Development Worker.  The role will be to:

  1. Work closely with local community networks to enable community action and to reduce loneliness and isolation.
  2. Develop links with all the community networks across Erewash – currently five networks, Sawley, Sandiacre, Kirk Hallam, Petersham and Cotmanhay. (more networks may be developed
  3. Evolve and develop our reach into local communities.                                               

30 Hours per week to be worked flexibly.

Salary: £28,860.00 Pro Rata  – 1 year Contract
