Amber Valley CVS –Funding and Community Developments Worker
This post requires you to be able to research and disseminate information about funding that is available to community groups and communicate this to local organisations, including Amber Valley CVS. You will provide advice to groups on writing quality bids, with particular emphasis on local funders such as public health, PCC. You will learn about group budgets, writing a good funding bid and different governance structures for community groups.
A creative approach which encourages sustainability will be looked for at interview.
You will work with members of communities to identify and encourage their development as voluntary organisations and also offer development advice to existing community groups in Amber Valley.
You will need IT skills to maintain databases and electronic filing systems as a record of your work.
You will be capable of communicate by various means, including face to face , using social media and as part of networking with local organisations and for peer support.
Experience of networking with partners and other agencies is essential..
No specific qualifications necessary but evidence of community involvement required. You will need to have empathy and good communication skills with people of all backgrounds, including those offering time as volunteer and staff in all voluntary and statutory agencies.

Connect Erewash Development Worker
Erewash Voluntary Action are actively recruiting for an exciting new role that will support our work across Erewash. Our Connect Erewash work is to reduce loneliness and isolation.
We are looking for someone to join our team as a Connect Erewash Development Worker. The role will be to:
- Work closely with local community networks to enable community action and to reduce loneliness and isolation.
- Develop links with all the community networks across Erewash – currently five networks, Sawley, Sandiacre, Kirk Hallam, Petersham and Cotmanhay. (more networks may be developed
- Evolve and develop our reach into local communities.
30 Hours per week to be worked flexibly.
Salary: £28,860.00 Pro Rata – 1 year Contract
